ABOUT THE MARIN HUMAN RACE
MARK YOUR CALENDARS, FOR THE 26TH ANNUAL MARIN HUMAN RACE, MAY 10,
2008. The Marin Human Race is the largest collaborative fundraising
event in Marin. Thanks to the generous support of our Sponsors, the
Center is able to return 90% of all donations collected to participating
agencies.
RACE DAY FEATURES

Join 4,000 of your friends, neighbors, and community members in the
largest collaborative fundraiser and nonprofit celebration in Marin
County. Run/Walk/Roll, cheer from the side, or come to enjoy all of
the following:
• PANCAKE BREAKFAST
• Over a dozen local bands and performing groups
• Free refreshments, prizes, and giveaways
• Kid Races with free registration (12 and under)
• Costume Contests!
• Community Fair with games and activities (over 100 booths!)
• Family Fun Fair with giant inflatable playland
RACE DAY PRIZES - Day of cash prizes
awarded to individuals must be designated towards a registered agency
or school program on Race Day.

RACE COURSE DESCRIPTION
Follow a beautiful 5K looping course around the Marin Center Fairgrounds
and Lagoon and the surrounding neighborhood.
• Starting Point: Avenue of the Flags
• Finish Line: Marin Center Fairgrounds
Wheelchair accessible (electronic scooters and motorized wheelchairs
suggested).
Sorry, no bicycles, skates, or scooters – part of the path is
gravel. No pets allowed; service dogs only.

COMMUNITY FAIR
Over 100 nonprofits and socially responsible businesses host family-friendly
activity and informational booths at the Race Day Community Fair.
This gathering s the only one of its kind in Marin, and is the perfect
way to familiarize yourself with a multitude of local volunteer opportunities
and services. The Kids Fair will provide hours of fun for the little
ones, with inflatable jumpy toys and other great activities.
Parking (includes handicap)
There is free parking throughout the Marin Center and Fairgrounds
and Lagoon Park. Handicap parking is located on Avenue of the Flags
in the Marin Center Parking Lot.
